Coordinates in Default Model
Coordinates in Printprepoutput Model
The reason behind this behavior is when we create a PrintPrepOutput model, the software will pick the coordinate value of the Print Sheet, not the map location. That is why the value changes from -43664.8613, 167418.2797 to 0.3041, 0.1966 in the above example.
If you wish to display geographic coordinates from the Default model in the PrintPrepOutput Model, you can use the “Place Coordinate for Viewport” option in the Print Preparation tab.
This places a text element defining the coordinate point for the selected location. The coordinate relates back to the source model. After selecting the tool, the cursor shows the running coordinates of the current position. Select a point to indicate the reference point and another to indicate the dimension line to complete the process.
- In the print model PrintPrepOutput, zoom in on the viewports with the details.
- In the Print Preparation toolbox select the Place Coordinate for Viewport tool.
- Snap to an easy to recognize point and place the coordinates in the viewport.
