- WFS graphical source connection and feature registration

1. Open GSA > Graphical Sources node> OGC WFS Connection

2. Right click this node and expand it to create a new connection.

3. It should open ‘Build Connection dialog’. Enter a Connection Name, WFS Url.

4. Test the connection by clicking the Test button and wait for the GSA to return a Connection Successful dialog.

5. Right click the new node of WFS connection and choose Register Features.       

6. Registered Features Dialog will open > Check the features with in the list of features which need to be register.

7. Click Next

8. The next screen prompts you for rotational information on your test layer.  Add the column ‘TEXT_ANGLE’ to supply the text rotation.

9. After setting the text attributes need to provide a Generator for the features.  The Generator is in effect a Sequence, which is essentially a unique ID creating database object.

10. Click ADD when you are done to create the object.

11. Click next after creating the generators and finally click Finish to complete the Feature Registration process.

12. Ensure that the features have been added in the GSA.

13. Add Placement Metadata and update the Command Manager in the GSA. Export and save your changes.

 In Bentley Map You can query WFS data from Graphical source

14. Open Bentley Map via User Workspace > File > Open 'Map Interoperability' dialog > Open Graphical source under connection tool.


15. Using this Graphical source you can connect and query WFS data in Bentley Map.
