Bentley Map - FGDB connection

  1. Launch Bentley Geospatial Administrator
  2. Click on Graphical Source > Esri File Geodatabase Connection > Righ click > Add > New
  3. Add New will fetch up this window to establish a connection to FGDB, click on the Test to check the connection and click on OK Button.
  4. Right click > Register Features will get the FGDB feature list
  5. Select all and register everything with the default Settings
  6. Finish it to register the features
  7. Now if you expand the Feature Node and observe it is Registered ESRI File Geodatabase Feature
  8. Right click on the Feature > Insert > Polygon Placement Collection Metadata
  9. Repeat this for every Feature by including the Promote Method as well
  10. Now Expand the User Interface > Command Manager > Add Command Manager lis
  11. Check 'Include Method Name in Labels' in Add Command Manager List Dialog box.                                                                                                                                           
  12. After this step click on User Workspace > Add > User Workspace
  13. Now click on Save Button
  14. Now click on Export Button.
  15. Now selecting the User workspace click on the Run Button & Launch with a New DGN File.
  16. Now in Bentley Map, Click on File > Map Interoperability > Right click on Connection> Open Graphical Source                                                                                        
  17. It will list the features , Now click on Query > All 
  18. Now the resultant query Display view                            
  19. Now double click on any desired Feature for Placement from the Command Manager which is docked on to the right side of the Map Interface.
  20. Start Adding / editing the feature                                       
  21. Once completed, Now Place a fence around the new / edited Feature
  22. click on the Post Feature Button on the top of the Interface
  23. Accept it in a View Area with a click of the mouse button to update / post the changes back to the FGDB file.
  24. Now at the bottom of the interface the posting results will be shown
