- Saving spatial locations

Saved Views can be used to save spatial locations in your map

In addition to saved views acting as a "spatial location library", you could use them to open your map to a specific location. 

To do that, use the save view key-in in a startup file as described here:

https://communities.bentley.com/communities/other_communities/askinga/w/askinga/1138/run-commands-when-starting-microstation

Save and name a view of your specific location, then use VI=view_name key-in to open the file at that location.  You can also just put the VI= key-ins on a function key to avoid having to use the Saved View dialog.
